Custom Gates in LaSalle

Custom Gates for LaSalle homes

LaSalle grew quickly from the 1990s onward, so many subdivision fences share lot lines with several neighbours and sit beside rear-yard drainage swales. LaSalle homeowners often need a wide side-yard gate for lawn equipment, a pool installer's machine or a trailer. We size the opening for the biggest thing that will come through and keep gates clear of the drainage swales common along the sides of subdivision lots.

What's included

Walk gates, double driveway gates and rolling gates in wood, vinyl, aluminum and steel, framed so they swing true and latch every time. Depending on your property, the work can include:

• Walk gates
• Double driveway gates
• Rolling and cantilever gates
• Frames that don't sag
• Heavy-duty hardware
• Gate posts set deeper
• Measure the opening.
• Written quote.
• Build and hang.
• Adjust.

Full details, how the work runs and common questions are on our main custom gates page.

Local conditions in LaSalle

Many LaSalle fences went up with their subdivisions and are now reaching the age where posts heave or rot and wood needs restoring. Shared fences make repairs and staining a joint project, so we provide clear written prices both neighbours can review.

Questions to ask before you hire

Whoever you hire for custom gates in LaSalle, get clear answers to these before signing:

• How will the gate frame be braced against sagging?
• What size hinges and posts will carry the weight?
• Which way should the gate swing on my slope?
• Can the latch take a lock?

By-laws, permits and locates

In LaSalle, a standard fence doesn't need a permit, but it must follow the Town's fence and swimming pool by-law. Installing a swimming pool requires a pool enclosure permit, with a site plan and your fence enclosure details. If a fence can't meet the by-law, the Town has a process to apply for relief. We confirm the current rules for your property during planning and request utility locates before digging.
